The lawyers are frequently involved in notifications to the Merger
Task Force and national competition authorities. The field implies
advising on the application of Sections 81 and 82 (formerly
Sections 85 and 86) to business practices and transactions
and preparing notifications and complaints to the European Commission;
advising on EUROPEAN state aid rules; advising companies on the
deregulation of markets that have traditionally been subject to a
state monopoly pursuant to Article 86 (former Article 90) of the EC
Treaty; drafting compliance scheme.
On other side, the
EUROPEAN Anti-Dumping and Trade Statute laws are recognized as the
leading field in EUROPEAN trade statute laws. An important aspect of
this activity in the field of international trade involves assisting
corporate and governmental clients with broader trade policy issues.
This work involves monitoring developments in trade policy to allow
clients to keep abreast of new policies as they emerge, as well as
advising clients on trade relations with third countries and on the
negotiation of bilateral trade agreements.
The
firm actively monitors the activities of the EUROPEAN institutions
and support clients devise lobbying strategies, prepare briefing papers
for submission to officials participating in the administrative decision-making
process and to members of the European Parliament involved in the
